37-39 Weeks Pregnancy Journals
Here we are with the last installment of the pregnancy journals. next time you hear from me in regards to my pregnancy I will have a little baby to show off to you all. If you’re wondering why I’ve stopped at 39 weeks for the journals it’s because on the day that I actually turn 39 weeks pregnant I will be prepping for my C-Section waiting for my baby to be put in my arms.
I am contemplating writing why I’m to have a C-Section but the whole prospect of putting it out there on the internet is terrifying to me, but I will be uploading my birthing story and anything else you guys might want to read ( any ideas tell me in the comments!)
So here I am, just turned 37 weeks and to think that I am now full term is absolutely bonkers, honestly when I first found out I was pregnant this time in my life seemed so far away and I feel like I’ve blinked and just arrived at this point. I’ve been having a lot of those pesky braxton hicks recently and I’m constantly on edge and monitoring every little niggle in my body and wondering if that’s labour. So far I’m doing well in myself though, the everyday activities get harder and harder but as I write this section I only have a week and 5 days left before Minnie will be here so I’m not letting it get me down. I’m still able to walk with, hardly any waddle at all, meaning she probably hasn’t even dropped yet which I’m told is a good thing if I want to have her on schedule. Heartburn also made a massive comeback this week, constantly for almost 24 hours I was suffering from it and nothing was relieving it at all.
Week 38 was strange. Knowing that in a week you’re going to be having your baby and that this is the last week to make the most of your bump is s surreal feeling and even at the end of my pregnancy, after feeling the endless amount of wriggling and kicks I’m still sat thinking it’s all a lie and that’s how I think I managed to stay so calm during the last week of being pregnant. My mum has been great this week as well, keeping me strong through any wobbles I had and even gave my hair a good pamper ready for all my hospital photos and to make me feel a lot better about myself.
Babe has still not dropped for me at this point and I guess that bodes well for the chances of me going into labour before the 13th. My energy has increased a lot more at this moment too, which is odd considering the amount of sleep i’ve been having has been vey little due to disruptive dying fire alarms, uncomfortable sleeping positions and that beautiful heartburn.
I’ve got my sister staying Friday night up until Wednesday to keep my pets company whilst we go in and have our little poppet and keep me distracted from killing Stewart who without a doubt is going to be a pain in the ass because he’s gonna be more nervous than I am at this rate but the end result is gonna be worth every little bit of it and I cannot wait to share her with you all. Now, BRB whilst I go get this baby out!
