The Last Of Summer// This Week We…

Hi and welcome back! How ya doing? Welcome back to another weekly update, it literally seems like only yesterday I was writing the last one, for some reason, this week has absolutely rocketed past, We’re so close to Autumn officially being here now that this week is going to be known here as the last of summer.

The Last Of Summer

We were treated to some lovely weather this week and I tried to enjoy it the best I could despite my condition. Minnie absolutely hated the heat, I can tell she’s going to be a little Autumn lady like myself. We spent Tuesday and Wednesday, the two hottest day’s of the week at my mum and nan’s house. Wednesday though we went to Kings Park in Retford to the water park there. I thought Minnie would have loved it, and she probably really would have if the council had cleaned the floor appropriately and there weren’t children, including mine falling over and smacking their heads off the floor.

Thursday turned out a lot nicer than the weatherman said so I set up an outdoor play area for Minnie to make a royal mess with outside. I also put the birdcage outside too so that the feather babies got some sunshine and fresh air themselves. I gave her water, sand, rice, spoons and bowls to play with. It kept her amused for hours.

The Last Of Summer

Over the weekend we visited Belton House. It was free entry so we made most of it! Nanna had created an awesome, posh picnic and we got to spend some lovely time together as a family as well as getting to know my both of my brother’s girlfriends, which are both lovely which makes a change from the past ones.

I managed to get some BEAUTIFUL photographs from inside the orangery at Belton which I will be sharing on my photography blog sometime over the next month and some will even be going up for sale. I shall link them here when they’re live.

Sunday we had a pretty chilled exploration day if you like. I had my 2nd COVID jab and then we went to see my nan as it was her birthday. After we’d chatted and had a cup of tea with her we went to Nettleham to the park to blow off some steam, took a wander to the shop and then back to the park when it was quieter to have another runaround.
